Ensemble & Ballet Intensive

 Ensemble

Our Ensemble Teams consist of Competition, Community Outreach, and Performance opportunities throughout the year.

  • Our Minis/Juniors team is for ages 6-10 with at least one year of experience.

  • Purple team is for students ages 11+ with at least three years of dance.

  • Silver Team is reserved for our most advanced dancers, 13+, with at least three years of experience, or at least one year of Purple Team with a maturity and skill-set ready for the demands of Silver Team.

All Ensemble members must audition, and have required weekly classes/hours  based on age and the team they are a part of. Participants get to perform for the community, work alongside theater companies, attend dance conventions, take part in in-house shows, compete and more.

The schedule permits dancers to join both Ballet Intensive and Ensemble, and many events overlap between the two programs.

Ensemble members are required to attend several one-time dance clinics, and participate in any master classes or specialty workshops during the Summer.

 Ballet Intensive

Ballet Intensive 1

Invitation Only

Ballet Intensive is a tailored program to each individual. Pre-Intensive students take at least TWO core ballet classes weekly, and those in the Intensive Program add this Intensive-specific block each week. Dancers are challenged with further developing technique and strong bodies, and are provided with opportunities to perform throughout the year. Intensive students are given featured and multiple roles in our annual Nutcracker. Students participate in partnering classes, student choreography, summer intensive camp and more. Intensive 2/3 dancers (next level up) have the opportunity to compete and/or attend dance conventions. Eligible students may have the chance to compete in the world renowned YAGP Ballet Competition. Dancers in the Intensive program generally work towards going en pointe. This is not required, but is one of the goals for most Intensive students. Intensive 1 is separate from Pre/Beginner Pointe class.
