Tap Dancing

Tap is a classic form of dance using metal taps on shoes to create sounds and combine them, making steps and rhythms. Our studio starts Tap in KinderCombo with basics of a tap shoe and simple sounds. Upper levels of tap focus on speeding up basic tap steps, applying them in patterns, adding arms, and learning complex technique and terminology. Additionally, students explore various time signatures and be challenged with riffs, one-footed balances, and toe stands and some improvisation.
